Can i ask you somethin about hair?

In 2 weeks time i m going to a very hot country for a holiday if i sit in the sun would it make my hair brown and if yes how does it work. M y sister told me it is something to do with hair follicles we are not that sure can you help

Sun just makes your hair lighter. So, if it's dark brown, it will be a lighter brown. =D

But this has to take more than an hour.. maybe 6-7 hours?

If not.. maybe a few days of sun

Ok if you mean does the sun bleach hair out a bit and go from black to more brown? Then yes... some people experience that. It is nothing to do with hair follicles, it's about pigments in the hair shaft... but will the sun bleach your hair? No... Most people with black hair never get brown or even reddish highlighting. Very few experience that

i heard that some white people with gold or other natural colour hair under hot sun will change to another colour, and also the hair condition will turn bad........my mom told me that many white people do have beautiful gold shine hair, but when landed to hot country, their shine gold turn to matt gold, and quite ugly....and hair turn dry too......but when they back to their county, their beautiful hair colour back again....even i myself curious to this!!!! And the most funny part is eye colours will change, but rare....somehow, gene will change according to weather and different countries? I'm curious too!!!
