If you dye your hair, does your hair grow back differently and/or thinner?

I dyed mine 3 times last year all 4 months apart. I was wondering if the dye damages the hair follicles because mine is much thinner, and it won't part the same as it used to. I have fine hair btw.

That depends on if the color you are using has peroxide in it. Chance are that if you are making your hair lighter it will create more damage than if you are making it darker. Also it depends on if you are only coloring the roots of if you overlap the color every time you apply it. Some hair is denser and does not damage easily. Other hair can be fine and delicate and a strong wind can cause havoc. It all depends

well im 19 and have been dying my hair since i was 14 from light brown to platinum blonde, my hair has always been very thin but it is much thinner now everytime i have it re-dyed i get really nervous that it will all fall out, plus my roots look more of a really dark greyish blonde colour and im naturally dirty blonde so it dosent look as brown any more.

well im only 11 and been dying my hair since i was 9. ive dyed my hair 8 times. if you dye it a really close color no one will be able to tell. but my hair is brown and i dyed it bleach blonde. every month i have to go and get touch ups on my roots because they're brown. i know it doesnt seem like such a big deal but having roots in two way dif colors is really white trash. so it does come out a dif color. but i've never had a problem with the volume. i' ve always had thick hair and it's never changed

You will never get back your natural hair color. That's the only thing I know.

i dyed my hair blonde and it was dark brown and it came out the same so i think it depends on who does and what you use
