Would vinegar strip hair follicles of toxins?

If you are talking about toxins that you have picked up from outside your body 9wind-blown, etc) then soapy water is the best way to clean it. If you are talking about toxins *from* your body, then they are integrated into the protein matrix of your hair and will not come out. However, they should not be able to get back into your body, or hurt you or anyone else in any way, because they are stuck in the hair proteins. If you are worried about a drug test, for example (which I dont think, but just theoretically) then the only way to get rid of it is to cut your hair. Vinegar is a very weak acid, and really has little cleaning effect except on things that respond strongly to acids- It will kill most bacteria, but not nearly as effectively as soap. Any lipid, oily substance on your hair won't be effected by vinegar, but it will be cleaned by soap.

No, nothing does that, not even bleach or hair dye.

If you have toxins in your hair, they must have passed through your body and it's too late to worry about them.

If you're worried someone will test your hair %26amp; find something you don't want them to, you could alsways shave your head!
