I've heard it stimulates the hair follicles if it's pulling on them and they will grow faster.
Is it true your hair grows faster if you wear it up in a ponytail frequently?
Nope that's not true, it actually damages the hair, and creates split ends. Try eating things with high protein that makes your hair and nails grow faster.

Is it true your hair grows faster if you wear it up in a ponytail frequently?
no its not true....it seems like its growing faster to you, because since you don't have it down all the time you don't realize the growth, so when you take it down after a while its longer than you remember. if you were to leave it down for the same amount of time tho, it would still be just as long.

Is it true your hair grows faster if you wear it up in a ponytail frequently?
nooo, ponytails cause your hair to break, especially if you use elastics or rubber bands. even though they look dumb, always use a scrunchie or a cloth covered band to tie your hair up...it is really a lot better for your hair.
