My head is sore in one area and i don't know if it is the hair follicles or something else. I have not hit my head.

yeah due to dirt or clogged pores, you might have not wash your hair often, and that there may be a risk of infection under your dermis or that a pimple might be developing. wash your hair thoroughly and rub some disinfection lotion or simply alcohol, it will help.

if you have had your hair in up in a ponytail or bunches that can somtimens cause slight pain, but i couldnt tell you why, it might be because of the fact that your hair has been pulled in one direcection for a long period of time and doesnt like going back normal.

has somone else hit you on the head??? in your sleep perhaps, or were youse out last night it could be a UDI

Sound like a ingrown hair, or, have someone look at the spot that is sore to see if you have a pimple, they can be very painful on your scalp
