I'm 34, and due to genetics, I already have significantly more gray hair than most folks my age, or even older. I know that hairs go gray because special cells (melanocytes) in the hair follicle area die off and/or stop producing melanin, a pigment that gives color to our hair.
It's been said there's no truly effective way to reverse graying, even though some alternative remedies say you can. I think they might be on to something, because of what I've noticed occasionally when I look my hairbrush
Sometimes, I'll find a long gray hair, which means it's been gray for a long time, but at the root and a few inches away from the root, it's totally BROWN. The only explanation I can think of, is that the melanocytes somehow "turned on" and are producing pigment again! Can this happen? If so, how? I'd like to make it happen MORE!
Some of my GRAY hairs turned BROWN again! How can this be?

you really are questioning and concerned that your Grey is turning back to your natural color. The other more ridiculous is that I'm wasting my time answering your lame question.
Some of my GRAY hairs turned BROWN again! How can this be?
This most likely happened because you were under a lot of stress when those gray hairs grew in but now your probably returning to you normal peace so you started growing your natural hair again!
