Can hair transplants be sucessful if the donor and recipient are different races with different hair

I am curious about this procedure because I am considering having a hair transplant to areas where I have noticeable thinning. I presently wear hair extensions, but would like something more permanent. I believe this is what Michael Jackson had done. His hair seems to be growing from follicles in Asian texture. I am a hair stylist and I find it hard to achieve the results Michael has on my clients with even the silkiest African American hair textures. If any associates of Bosley institute are out there, the industry would benefit if you can find donors with luxurios hair to be able to make profitable contributions to the thinning, balding and just want to look fabulous clients like me.

I think that it is more a question of blood group than race. If you are from the same group you can certainly have a transplant

I wasn't aware that hair could be transplanted from one person to another. I thought that it had to be from the same person...Hmm.

I agree with the first poster. They take the hair from the not-thinning parts of your head and fill in the rest. I've never heard of transplanting from another person!
