I have very fair skin and very dark hair. When I shave, you can see the hair in the follicle under my skin, and it makes me really self concious. Is there any way to get rid of that?

Sometimes using a men's razor can help you get a closer shave, but otherwise, try Nair for sensitive skin or waxing. You can get @ home wax strips at target or walmart. I think Sally Hansen makes them. That might make your underarms a little red for a day or two, but your hair won't grow back for a few weeks if you wax, or about a week if you use nair.

I have the same problem and I can tell you that exfoliating does not help because when you shave the hair the rest is still under the skin and if it's black you can still see it on pale skin. Waxing helps but it left me with horrible ingrowns and red bumps that wouldn't go away---that was worse than the spots so I went back to shaving. The only thign that worked is getting a natural tan out in the sun... I dunno if it made the hair lighter or the skin darker or just a combo of both but it worked.
